MyUI: Mainstreaming Accessibility through Synergistic User Modelling and Adaptability- Latest Industrial User validation & Dissemination Event. Birmingham 22nd June 2012

The latest validation sessions of the MyUI technology held at the brand new offices and studios at UK Partner Clever Cherry, along with Birmingham City Council, showcased the MyUI development toolkit. The validation session provided valuable feedback from Industrial users and decision makers within ICT & design companies, a tele-care network organizations and public service authorities.

Through example applications & demonstration, the sessions drew much interest from testing the adaptive user interface technologies that increase accessibility for users to services such as interactive TV & mobile devices.

The presenters went on to explain further the concepts & functions of the AAIM and the Development Toolkit that support Industrial designers to be able to, in future, adapt their interactive & mobile services and devices to special user needs particularly in relation to aging, stroke. and gradual degeneration of perceptual, motor & cognitive capabilities and impairments

The feedback was extremely encouraging, whereby Industrial Users and Decision Makers were impressed by the MyUI tools for the new generation of developing adaptive user interfaces and applications - and even more so with the exampled guidance for designers and developers of adaptive applications and services!
